Good hope welfare association (GHWA) is a non profitable, nonpolitical, non-Governmental, Social and a Voluntary Organisation incepted to glow a Ray of Hope in them who are sinking in the ocean of poverty, and show a way out to over come the situation.
The founder and the president are from rural background hail from an economically backward community treated as untouchable caste. All the board of directors also belongs to the same untouchable community. The president and the secretary are senior pastors having ministry in the rural and slum people. They are very much familiar with the issues of the people due to their close association in gospel ministry for the past 20 years. Ignorance, Illiteracy, Lack of employment (Labour) through out the year, famine, hunger, starvation malnutrition, sickness, bonded Labour, debt slavery, caste discrimination, un-touchability, exploitation, victimisation, sexual abuse, gender issue, suppression, oppression, lack of Organisation, non-political and public participation, these are all the burning issues prevailed in the rural and slum people.
Out of 115 crores of Indian population 70% are living in villages 10% in slums. Most of them live below poverty line and earn not even equal to half an US Dollar towards the daily wages under the land lords. All or landless poor live on their daily wages suffice to hand and mouth. Even though India is some what forward technically and scientifically, the rural and slum India is for behind economically, socially, educationally, culturally. Unless these grass root level people are uplifted, the Indian development shall stay stand still even after another 60 years of Independence.
Hence, GHWA was incepted prayerfully with an aim to transform the Lives of the rural and slum people first spiritually and next socially, economically, educationally, culturally, at least to some extant possible by promoting awareness on several issues, improving literacy and eradicating poverty by introducing development programmes.
But the major issue of the Organisation is paucity of funds lack of external financial support to introduce the development activities and out reach rural and slum poor.
“Where there is a will there is a way”. The God we serve is an omnipotent, who can supply all our needs to go and outreach the hungry. We hope our FAITH will never FAIL and He will open a way out. May be it is you. If not no problem, you may show us a way where we can get help.
The main ofiece is held in vijayavada(Andhra pradesh India)and there are two more field offeces one in guntur the other in krishna district.We have a own building in a site of Ac.0.50 worth of Rs.10,00,000/-
